Formula Drift

Location: Long Beach, California

This weekend was one of the Formula D races at the Long Beach convention center. Sadly, Jess was in Hawaii instead of LA, so we didn't go to Disneyland with her. This year the format was changed, instead of having each judge add in their score, they do it jury style. Each judge says who they think won and if they aren't sure, they can have them race one more time.

Jason was nice enough to let Mike borrow his camera so he played photographer for the day.

There were some crashes, but most of the races were pretty exciting. They had Tanner Foust battle for 3rd place 4 times. It was too much. Its third place, its called consolation race,too long.

The drive down and up was pretty quick. Mike managed to get 29 miles per hour using his technique of following the car ahead to cut the wind. He must be watching too much speed channel.

We were going to check out a few fixie shops but because it was Easter sunday the shops were closed. We're going to be going back to LA in about 3 weeks,so I guess we can check out bikes then.

This scion got took. We were on the way back and saw this, they ballanced the side that wasn't on the curb on the spare tire and took the other 2 on the left side. Pretty funny, tire locks. Get some.

It was a pretty fun weekend.

spring break in hawaii

well my spring break was this past week.

i kno so late, but i got to go home so its cool.

but my spring break started here in cali

we went to watch fast and the furious and street fighters in the drive in movies

haven't done dat in forever

went to a birthday dinner at nikki's house

that was fun.

monday night joelle and i missed our flight going home.

don't ask

but bright and early tuesday morning we went back to the airport and caught a flight home

first day back i got a massage. it was so good

the next day i went to the beach

the weather sucked!!! it was so cloudy, so i'm still white.

while i was home i ate good food and just chilled.

didn't really do too much.

went movies once, filled out job applications of the summer

and just relaxed.

wednesday night i surprised maryleah at work

it was fun and funny

played with samson.

he's still the same. big. haha.

and spoiled always getting new toys.

saturday i went to the sha vs iolani softball game

heart breaking game. but a good one.

0-0 til the bottom of the 7th inning when iolani scored for the win

but after that we had family dinner with the fambam

yes we colored eggs and had an easter egg hunt in the backyard

it was all fun

went to church on easter in the morning and night time.

they were so cute

and i got to catch up with all these cool kids.

spring break was so much fun i didn't want to come back

but 20-some more days and i'll be back home again

Spring Break 09

Location: San Francisco, CA

So I haven't written anything in just about forever and a day. So umm, like 3 weeks ago was my spring break which I spent in San Francisco.

Dani came from Santa Clara, Brent came from Oregon, and Mary came from the HI.

Eric was home from UC Davis, so we got to kick it with him for a little.

Most of the break we just chilled, me and Dani got our toes did at Sensei Spa ( I recommend it to anyone who comes to SF), and just some other fun stuff.

Oh, and my not so favorite Techno club thing-- Blowup.

And this is my roommate Caitlin Supe, she's super dakine akshun moke (or whatever it is that Epi says).

Anyone who knows me basically knows that I don't really like Techno. I went to it the week before or something like that, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I still said I wouldn't go again. It was $15 so I was determined to make myself have fun. It was good though because I got to hang out with Dani, Keisha, and Ant. I guess the $15 was worth seeing the fight that went on outside.

Basically what happened was 2 white guys got into an argument inside the club. They got kicked out, but they kept trying to go at it outside, some how one guy called the other guy a N*(you figure it out) and some like hipster black guy was like bro did you hear that to my friend. Then the bouncer did some kind of like football like tackle thing with his shoulder. It was pretty funny.

wow, that kinda sounded like a loser story. It was funny, I promise.

So Spring Break was pretty fun.
